Current Situation
In order to further enhance Ottawa’s culture of entrepreneurism and to promote the breadth of business-development support services provided by Invest Ottawa, it is critical to showcase the recent successes of young entrepreneurs in Ottawa. Housed on a branded YouTube channel, these videos will feature products and services created in Ottawa and the infrastructure and support programs that were instrumental in nurturing that success. The videos will reinforce the concept that a successful business starts here, in Ottawa.

Requirement
At this time, we are inviting proposals to produce a series of video profiles, in both French and English, of interesting and innovative startup companies to showcase the success of Ottawa entrepreneurs and the positive experience resulting from working with the business support programs available. The successful company will write, direct and produce a series of 30 second videos to be uploaded to a branded YouTube channel.

Proposals should include:

• a brief background, a summary of relevant experience;
• provide examples of past projects (preferably similar in scope, two samples max, DVD or online link);
• a proposed budget which should include a breakdown of work and fees for professional services, hours, administration services and translation; and
• a proposed schedule for the project, including project stages and milestones.

Script, images and designs must be approved before production commences.

Budget
Vendor bids should not exceed $20,000

Title: Invest Ottawa Business Success Showcase Videos
Duration: March 26, 2012 – April 15, 2012
Tasks:

• Produce a series of video success stories
• Provide videos to Invest Ottawa and its clients on a DVD as well as post to the Invest Ottawa YouTube channel in HD format

Current Situation
With significant focus directed at investment attraction that is sectorally and geographically targeted, there is need for the organization to develop a general business attraction brochure and video which will be used to persuade business investors in priority sectors to consider Ottawa for their investments.

Requirement
At this time, we are inviting proposals to produce a video series that showcases Ottawa as the best place in Canada to start and grow a knowledge-based business, in both French and English. All materials should feature the Ottawa economy, labour market, market location, post-secondary institutions, key federal research labs and institutes, lifestyle, transportation infrastructure and interconnectedness. The successful company will research and script three, two to two-and-a-half minute videos to be used in presentations with investor delegations as well as in international outreach to attract business investment. Sourcing of relevant moving and still images, which may entail shooting at various locations, will also be required. Content and visuals will also be translated into the design and production of a high-end brochure that complements the video in look and feel but provides a more thorough and comprehensive overview of the benefits to investing in Ottawa.
