From November 12-18, 2012, Invest Ottawa in partnership with the Ottawa entrepreneurship community is setting Ottawa ablaze with a spirit of entrepreneurship in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Invest Ottawa names 100 Rising Star CEOs ahead of Global Entrepreneurship Week Ottawa

OTTAWA, Ontario, November 9, 2012 – Today Invest Ottawa announces its selection of 100 Rising Stars, CEOs from companies across the National Capital Region. They operate everything from innovative high tech firms, to fashion and food enterprises, to social businesses and charities. The Top 25 will be celebrated on Friday Nov. 16 at the first-ever Ottawa Entrepreneurship Awards as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week Ottawa.

Two minutes with Sir Terry Matthews

He is Ottawa’s best known serial entrepreneur, Sir Terry Matthews. He has created nearly 100 companies over his career. Matthews operates a successful incubator in Ottawa that builds companies run by young entrepreneurs who benefit from his global business experience. Sir Terry Matthews supports Global Entrepreneur Week Ottawa. During his regular Tech Tuesday networking event on Nov. 6 he took a couple of minutes to share his key advice to entrepreneurs.
