Panellists:
Sahir Khan, Director General, Library of Parliament
Jason Jacques, Director, Budget, Estimates and Reporting, Library of ParliamentEvery year, the Parliament of Canada approves a budget that collects over a quarter billion in taxes and disburses a similar amount in spending. The question of who pays and who receives is at the core of contentious parliamentary debate.
The development and growth of Ottawa’s technology industry over the past few years has given rise to a large number of companies that require leadership in a wide range of financial, taxation and administration matters. In addition many finance officers have not yet experienced some of the challenges they must deal with on a daily basis including rapidly changing financing environments and sharp changes in business cycles. This program is designed to address the need for practical information and guidance on issues that impact the daily life of a technology company CFO.
