About the speakers:
Justin Clory is a business lawyer with MDK Business Law, focused on providing corporate and employment law advice to entrepreneurial businesses.
Heidi Hauver is a dedicated leader committed to cultivating world-class cultures where individuals thrive and reach their full potential. With over two decades of experience, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to create transformative strategies that empower teams, foster diversity and inclusion, and drive sustainable growth. Her energetic leadership and constant innovation have earned her several awards, including the 2022 WBN Businesswomen of the Year Award for Community Impact and the 2020 Alumni of the Year Award (Business) with Algonquin College. Heidi’s qualifications include being a Certified Human Resources Executive, a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional, and a Certified Coach Practitioner. She is also a dedicated volunteer and community builder, supporting organizations such as Algonquin College, Hire Immigrants Ottawa, and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
As lead for the Human Resources function, Helen Huang is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that support and enable the organization’s overall business plan. She brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across diverse industries including technology, financial services, healthcare, and post-secondary education. Prior to joining DistillerSR, Helen was a Director, HRBP at Innovapost.
