Exit Stage Right: Setting your small business up for a successful transition and exit!

Exit Stage Right: Setting your small business up for a successful transition and exit!

According to recent reports, over $2 trillion in business assets will exchange hands over the next decade across Canada. But only 9% of businesses have a succession plan or exit strategy in place. In many cases, thoughts of the exit stage begin far too late, and the business owner cannot capitalize on a proper succession or transition.

Small business owners need to consider a proper plan to set themselves up for a transition and exit. There are many success stories out there, and there are experts who help small businesses on the right path to succession and transition.

This in-person event, presented by Invest Ottawa, the Ottawa Board Of Trade and the Ottawa Coalition of Business Improvement Areas will feature industry experts who will provide insight and tips on setting your business up for successful succession. And we will also hear from Ottawa small businesses who were part of successful transfers of ownership.

Join us over lunch, Monday, October 16 as we kick off Small Business Week with this informative event for local small businesses, by local small businesses.
