In-Kind Sponsorship Guidelines

As Ottawa’s lead economic development agency, Invest Ottawa is a proud supporter of the entrepreneurship community in the National Capital Region. As much as we would love to sponsor all the great events in Ottawa, as a publicly funded entity, our funds are tied to program delivery and services. We are able to provide in-kind promotional support for a limited number of community events that directly align with our strategic plan and supported objectives and provide a specific value proposition to the firms and entrepreneurs that we serve.

For approved events, in-kind promotion valuation will be discussed on a case by case basis. Our valuation reflects Invest Ottawa’s social media reach, staff time, and network value. Invest Ottawa must be recognized as an event sponsor, valued at the agreed-upon in-kind promotional value.

Note: We acknowledge that many excellent events are scheduled last minute. While we cannot guarantee availability, we will make every effort to accommodate urgent requests that meet the criteria below.

If you would like to request in-kind sponsorship services, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit your event to Invest Ottawa’s Event Calendar at least two months in advance of the event date. All relevant entrepreneurship-related events in our region will be approved and included on the calendar within the week.
  2. Once your event has been included on the Event Calendar, you may fill out the below form.
